Check-in is from 4pm. Regrettably our housekeeping team cannot offer earlier access to the property.

Please note that there is only parking for one vehicle.
Please park in the allocated space, there is a sign for Otters Holt.

GENERAL INFO

HEATING & HOT WATER

There is a thermostat on the wall near the kitchen. Please remember to turn the heating down after use. The water will heat automatically. If both showers (or bath and shower) are used at the same time it will cause the hot water to fail. If you are having any issues with the heating or hot water, please call us on 01841 550998.

 

REFUSE & RECYCLING

Waste and recycling are stored and collected from the top of the pathway. You do not need to move the bin from here.
Place all waste and recyling in black bin liners, this will be separated by the collection company.
Please ensure all items are bagged in bin liners before putting into the dustbin, and everything put out on departure for collection. 

 

WI-FI

If you are having any issues with the connection, please try to restart the router and check all wires are plugged in correctly.

Please note: we can never guarantee a Wi-Fi connection as we are reliant on external parties for this. 

ELECTRICAL / GAS / WATER ISSUES

The stop cock for the water and the fuse box are both located in the wooden shed attached to the back of the property. There is a lock on this shed to prevent these being tampered with, however should you have any worrying leaks or cuts in power then the code for the padlock is 4211.

 

If there are any worrying smells of gas, the shut off tap is in the white gas box attached to the side of the shed.

 

DOGS

If you have a dog, please refrain from allowing them to get up on the furniture or in the bedrooms. Please can you ensure that any mess is picked up from the grounds, and hair cleared from within the house before you depart. Thank you.

In the event of an OUT OF HOURS emergency. Please contact us on 07751 556782. There will be a charge for non-emergency contact to this number. The number is not monitored after 10pm.

IN THE EVENT OF A SERIOUS EMERGENCY PLEASE CALL 999.

Mobile reception varies. Your postal address is: Otters Holt, Towan, St Merry, PL28 8PJ. There is a first aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket under the kitchen sink. There is a torch for emergency lighting in the kitchen drawer.

DEPARTURES

BEFORE YOU LEAVE
Please ensure any remaining rubbish has been bagged and left in the dustbin.

CLEANING

Our cleaners will come in after you depart and clean the property, but if you could help them out by leaving the property as you find, it would be greatly appreciated!

PLEASE STRIP THE BED LINEN AND LEAVE ON THE BED

BREAKAGES / DAMAGES

If you have any breakages, or damage anything in the property during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible so we can organise any repairs or cleaning necessary in time before the next guests.

LOCKING UP

When you depart, please ensure any spare house keys are left within the property, ensure all doors are locked and the master set of keys are left in the key safe before you set off. Please ensure the numbers on the safe are scrambled when you leave.
